Google’s Street View Starts in India?

Google Inc started mapping service project ‘Street View’ in India with an aim to provide panoramic images of pedestrian level streets and houses in the country ranging from palaces to slums.The Street View project will be launched first in Bangalore and then will spread to other parts of the country. The Google Street View is already available in around 27 countries and will be very helpful for travelers, urban development planners, house hunters and law enforcement agencies. Google is now collecting detailed street level images of Bangalore using special high resolution cameras mounted on cars and three wheelers. However the faces, number plates of vehicles and some other things in the images will be blurred for privacy issues. Hope this new project ‘Google Street View’ in India will result in a huge success and help various categories of people all around the world.

ViewSonic Launches New PJL6 Series of LCD projectors

ViewSonic launched a series of new PJL6 LCD projectors targeting the educational market. The two projectors in the ViewSonic PJL6 are named PJL6233 and PJL6243 designed for smaller meeting rooms and classrooms. The new projectors implement 3LCD technology from ViewSonic, offer support for HD content of 1080pixels with seven picture modes at 1024 x 768 XGA resolution. The projectors also include Stereo Mini Jack, S-Video, D-Sub, composite and RCA audio connectors. The ViewSonic PJL6233 can deliver 2600 ANSI Lumens brightness and a contrast ratio of 500:1 and ViewSonic PJL6243 delivers 3000 ANSI Lumens brightness and a contrast ratio of 2000:1. For easy maintenance the projectors are equipped with, ECO energy saving mode, PIN lock features to provide authorized use, anti-theft protection with security lock port and top load lamps and bottom filters with slide design.

The Viewsonic PLJ6233 has a price tag of $599 and Viewsonic PLJ6243 has a price tag of $699. Both the projectors come with a limited parts and labor warranty of three years.

Logitech HD Webcam C525 Launched in India

Logitech revealed a HD webcam C525 which is in fold-and-go design providing portability, 360 degree swivel rotation, built-in microphone and video calling in high definition at a resolution of 720 pixels to some familiar instant messaging applications like Yahoo! Messenger, Skype etc. Logitech C525 even provides built-in autofocus capabilities to help in capturing quality pictures at sheer close-ups. The webcam can also capture images at 8MP and uses Logitech Fluid Crystal technology. The new HD cam from Logitech offers a free trial of Fast Access face recognition software for 60 days. This software scans your face with the help of the webcam and sets it as a password for your system. The software can be downloaded on your Personal Computer after plugging in Logitech C525 to your system. Video effects like Mask Maker, neon splashes and fish-eye distortions can be added to your video calls. The Logitech C525 also boasts a one click HD video upload o YouTube and some social networking sites. The Logitech C525 HD webcam will be available at a price of Rs. 2,995.

Sony Launches ‘Welcome Back’ Program

After the recent PlayStation Network hack, Sony has announced the ‘Welcome Back’ program, compensation package for its users. The package includes two free games for PlayStation3 and PlayStation Plus which can be chosen from a list. The five games list for PlayStation3 is in FAMOUS, Dead Nation, Wipeout HD, Super Stardust HD and LittleBigPlanet. For PlayStation Plus the games are ModNation Racers, LittleBigPlanet, Killzone Liberation and Pursuit Force.

The Welcome Back program also provides users of premium subscription service – the PlayStation Plus a free access of 30 days which adds automatic downloads, online storage, huge discounts and exciting exclusives where existing subscribers will have access for 60 days. The PlayStation Home users will get 100 virtual items for their patience all these days when they could not access their Home. So, all the PlayStation users out there hurry up as the Welcome Back program from Sony ends up on 3rd July.

ViewSonic Announces New ViewPad 7x and ViewPad 10Pro Tablets

ViewSonic ViewPad 10Pro:

ViewSonic announces the launch of ViewPad 10Pro a 10-inch tablet which runs both Windows 7 Professional and Android 2.2. The ViewPad 10Pro from ViewSonic boasts 32GB of storage space, runs on Intel’s Oak Trail Z670 1.5 GHz processor which is designed to help in providing the tablets with longer battery time, 3G connectivity and its 3500mAh battery allows battery backup of four hours. The Viewsonic ViewPad 10Pro weighs 800 gms, provides a display of 1080pixels and may be available at a price ranging from $699 to $799 when it hits the stores.

ViewSonic ViewPad 7x Android Tablet:

Viewsonic reveals the first ever 7-inch Honeycomb Tablet, ViewPad 7x. The Honeycomb tablet features a LED touchscreen display with a resolution of 1024 x 600 pixels, cameras positioned both at the front and back of the tab, dual core Nvidia Tegra 2 processor and runs Android 3.1 Honeycomb OS. The ViewSonic ViewPad 7x weighs 380 gms and the details about its availability and price are yet to be announced.

Sony Announces Official PS3 Wireless Stereo Headset

Sony revealed a new wireless stereo gaming headset which is an addition to its PlayStation3 accessories. The new headset bears 7.1 surround sound which needs firmware 3.70 and higher to work, touch sensitive volume controls and built-in retractable microphone. It allows many hours of gaming comfortably with oversized breathable ear pads and is connected to the PS3 using a USB dongle. With this new gaming headset, PlayStation will stay in equal competition in the market of gaming headsets like Turtle Beach, Astro etc. The Sony PlayStation3 new gaming headset will hit the market from September and will be available for an attracting price of $99.99.

Nokia Unveils Gold-Plated Mobile Phone Oro

Nokia brings in a new smartphone, Nokia Oro a gold plated mobile which is a luxury version of previously launched Nokia C7 smartphone. The Nokia Oro has 18 carat gold frame with the combination of Corning Gorilla Glass material for toughness and adding a stylish and luxurious look to the handset. The back part of the Oro is incorporated with world’s best leather material from Bridge of Weir leather Ltd. The front keys of the phone are scratch resistant made of Sapphire crystal. The J Bluetooth headset allotted with the handset also comes in 18 carat gold.
